How to Report Fly-Tipping in Southall: Step-by-Step Guide
Why Reporting Fly-Tipping Matters
Fly-tipping is one of Southall’s most significant problems — it damages our health, makes streets unsafe, and sends a message of neglect.
But every resident has power. By reporting dumped rubbish properly, we create a record the council cannot ignore. The more reports logged, the more pressure to act.
Step 1: Take a Clear Photo
📸 Always take a photo of the fly-tipped rubbish.
- Make sure the location is precise (street sign, landmark, or corner).
- Include the date/time if possible.
- Close-up photos help show the type of waste.

Step 2: Report Online via Ealing Council
Go to the council’s official page:
👉 Report fly-tipping to Ealing Council
Fill in:
- The exact location (postcode helps).
- A description of the rubbish.
- Your photo evidence.
💡 You’ll get a reference number — keep it safe in case you need to chase.
Step 3: Use the Love Clean Streets App
For faster reporting, download:
👉 Love Clean Streets app
With the app, you can:
- Take a photo.
- Pin the exact GPS location.
- Submit in less than a minute.
This method is quick and highlights the same issue to others in the community.
Step 4: Share Your Report with SRA
Send your photo and reference number to Southall Residents Alliance.
- We build evidence of ignored hotspots.
- The more reports we collect, the stronger our case against neglect.
- Together, we make sure the council cannot sweep it under the carpet.
Step 5: Escalate to Your Councillor
If the rubbish isn’t cleared within a reasonable time, contact your councillor.
Find your representative here:
👉 Ealing Councillors Directory
Send:
- Your original report number.
- Photos of the waste are still there.
- A demand for action.
💡 Councillors are elected to represent you — they are accountable when services fail.
Southall Deserves Better
Fly-tipping is not inevitable. It’s a sign of neglect and double standards — and by reporting every case, residents can push back.
Southall deserves clean, safe streets like anywhere else in Ealing.

I feel Southall Residents Alliance is confusing their title or campaign name because I can see within the webpage initially ‘Southall Residents Alliance’ then I see ‘Southall Matters’ then finally ‘Southall Residents Group’. So, which is it? When I typed Southall Residents Alliance the search automatically went to Southall Community Alliance which is funded by Berkeley Group. If you want residents to take you seriously then I suggest to keeping to one campaign name or title.
Dear Dixon
Thank you for your comment. Southall Residents’ Alliance is the overarching title and Southall Matters is the subtitle. Southall Residents Alliance will appear higher in the search engine rankings as more people search for the website. We are in the early stages of development and welcome all feedback.
With kind regards
Southall Residents Alliance
